Bespoke Bridal Jewellery

A ring you will wear for every year after.

Ivory House is an editorial template for engagement and wedding jewellers — commissions drawn by hand, cast in-house, and documented with laboratory reports on request. Champagne gold, ivory linen, and no hard sell.

The Commission

Five steps, drawn by hand

Every commission begins on paper. The five stages below follow a real bench workflow — copy them, adjust the timing, and make them your own.

You will see a quotation before any metal is cast, and a drawing before any quotation is final. No surprises, no pressure.

Step 01 · The Conversation

Listen first

How they met, how she gestures, what he would never buy. Half an hour of listening usually designs the ring better than a catalogue ever could.

Step 02 · The Drawing

Sketch, then CAD

A hand sketch becomes a technical render with true proportions. Stone size, band width and height are confirmed against your finger, not a screen.

Step 03 · The Stone

Choose the stone

Stones are shown loose, under daylight and warm light, with their documentation on the table. You approve the exact stone — never "a similar one".

Step 04 · The Bench

Cast, set, finish

Lost-wax casting, setting under magnification, polishing in graduated stages. You may visit the bench — most clients do, once.

Step 05 · The Handover

Documented & fitted

Quality check, laboratory report (where requested), insured delivery, and a final fitting at the finger it was made for.

Collections

Three rooms, three intentions

Engagement, wedding and eternity — each with its own weight, its own metal logic, and its own moment in a life.

Engagement ring collection
Room One

Engagement

The ring that starts the story. Solitaires, halos and three-stones, each drawn around the stone you choose — never the other way round.

  • Centre stones from certified parcels, seen loose first
  • Mountings cast in-house, claws finished by hand
  • Proposal boxes and discreet delivery included

Wedding bands collection
Room Two

Wedding

Bands that sit against the engagement ring without fighting it. Curved profiles, matching pavé, or a clean plain band that lets the solitaire speak.

  • Profiled to sit flush with your engagement ring
  • Half, three-quarter and full-set pavé options
  • Interior engraving in your own handwriting

Eternity rings collection
Room Three

Eternity

A circle of stones for anniversaries and landmarks. Sized first, set second — full eternities cannot be resized, so we measure twice.

  • Channel, claw and bar settings across the circle
  • Stones matched for size, colour and fluorescence
  • Certificate of matching supplied with the piece

Materials

Metal, chosen with you

Every metal ages differently. We explain the trade-offs honestly — patina, weight, maintenance — so your choice fits the life it will live.

Rose Gold

Copper-warm and quietly romantic. Ages to a deeper blush; suits vintage-inspired and three-stone designs.

18k · 14k

Yellow Gold

The classic, in the classic colour. High polish or satin finish; the traditional choice for solitaires and plain bands.

18k · 22k

White Gold

Silvery-crisp, usually rhodium plated for brightness. Re-plating is periodic maintenance — we tell you the schedule before you buy.

18k · 14k

Platinum

Dense, naturally white, and heavy on the hand. Develops a soft patina; the traditional setting metal for important stones.

Heirlooms & Re-designs

Your grandmother's ring, worn your way

Old gold carries stories — and its stones usually outlive their settings. We re-cut nothing that should stay whole; instead we re-draw the mounting around what you already own.

♦
Stone-first redesign

The heirloom stones are measured and documented before anything else is touched.

♦
Gold credit

Metal from the original piece is credited against your new commission where it can be re-cast.

♦
Matching additions

Wedding bands drawn to fit the re-designed ring, so old and new sit flush together.

Good Questions

Asked in the fitting room

How long does a bespoke ring take?

From approved drawing to finished ring, allow roughly six to ten weeks depending on casting schedules and stone sourcing. We will confirm a delivery window in writing before you commit.

Can you work with stones I already own?

Yes — that is the heart of our heirloom service. We measure, document and appraise condition first, then design around the stones as they are, not as a catalogue would prefer them to be.

Will my diamond come with a certificate?

On request, and per stone, we arrange grading documentation from internationally recognised laboratories such as GIA or IGI. Contact our team to confirm which documents suit the stone you are considering.

Are gemstones a safe investment?

We describe stones gemmologically — colour, clarity, cut and treatment — and never sell them as investments or as a store of value. Buy jewellery to be worn and loved; let your financial adviser handle the portfolio.

Do you sell wholesale to other jewellers?

Yes. White-label bridal collections and OEM manufacturing to your drawings, with rate cards quoted per brief. Ask the trade desk for a pack.

Craftsmanship

Made in one room, by few hands

A bridal commission passes through fewer hands than a production line ever could — designer, caster, setter, polisher — all reading the same drawing, all accountable to the same client.

Lost-wax castingYour piece is born as a model, burned out and filled with molten metal in a single pour.
Micro-settingPavé stones seated under magnification, each bead raised by hand, never glued.
Hand finishingGraduated polishing from file to high shine, with rhodium plating where the design asks for it.
Quality controlClaw tension, stone security and clasp function checked and recorded before release.
