Utility-scale wind & solar since 2009

Wind and sun,
engineered into power you can bank on.

WindStar Energy develops, builds, owns and operates utility-scale wind and solar farms across eleven markets. 3.8 GW is generating right now, 6.2 GW is in an advanced pipeline, and every megawatt-hour is metered, forecast and independently reported.

Operating capacity

What the fleet actually did last year.

These are twelve-month rolling figures from our own SCADA and settlement systems, reconciled against independent metering. Not targets, not projections — the generation that was billed.

  • 0GW

Net installed capacity across wind, solar and co-located storage, fully grid-connected.

  • 0

Turbines and inverter blocks under our 24/7 central dispatch and monitoring.

  • 0%

Time-based availability, wind-weighted, against the contracted availability floor.

  • 0TWh

Clean electricity delivered to the grid in the last twelve months.

Project portfolio

Farms in the ground, not on a slide.

Six flagship assets from a portfolio of thirty-one. Filter by technology to see how the mix is built — onshore wind where the resource is, offshore where the scale is, solar where the grid is, storage where the constraint is.

Environmental impact

Every megawatt-hour displaces something.

We report avoided emissions, land use and water at asset level, in the same systems that report revenue. If it cannot be measured, it does not go in the annual report.

  • 0Mt

CO₂e avoided each year against the marginal grid mix we replaced.

  • 0Mm³

Freshwater avoided annually versus equivalent thermal generation.

  • 0%

Of occupied land continues in agricultural or conservation use.

  • 0net

Net biodiversity loss across our sites since 2020, independently verified.

Habitat & biodiversity

Set-back corridors, seasonal shutdown programmes for raptor activity, and native hedgerow replanting around every array and turbine base.

No net loss, verified annually

Community benefit funds

Every operating farm pays an indexed revenue share into a local fund governed by the host community — schools, energy advice, and heating retrofit.

Circular decommissioning

Blade take-back contracts with two European reprocessors, and a bond-funded restoration plan filed with every planning authority at the point of consent.

Technology platform

Four platforms, one operating brain.

We buy machines from four manufacturers and run them from one control layer of our own. That is what keeps availability above the contracted floor while the fleet keeps growing.

01 — Wind

8.2 MW turbine platform

IEC class S machines with a 220 m rotor and a segmented blade path that lets us move components on standard roads instead of building new ones.

220 m rotor · 43.6% fleet load factor

02 — Solar

Bifacial PV + single-axis trackers

Tracker algorithms tilt rows against terrain and cloud forecast rather than a fixed solar table, reclaiming yield that flat arrays leave on the table.

+14% yield vs fixed-tilt baseload

03 — Storage

Grid-forming BESS

Four-hour duration batteries with grid-forming inverters — synthetic inertia and fast frequency response delivered in under 90 milliseconds.

AI fleet orchestration

Condition monitoring on 4,100 instruments per farm, with failure signatures learned across the whole fleet and pushed to every site within a day.

Field engineering

Built, inspected and maintained by our own crews.

We do not hand the asset to a third party the day after commissioning. The same engineers who sign the handover run the maintenance programme — which is why defects found in year one are usually gone by year three.

Investor relations

The pipeline is contracted. So is most of the revenue.

We raise long-term institutional capital into individual assets and into the operating platform. Sixty-nine percent of forecast revenue for the next five years is already signed under power purchase agreements with investment-grade offtakers.
