Fifty-two years of sourcing, restoring and placing pre-1980 motor cars. Every car we sell arrives with a documented history file, a mechanically sorted drivetrain, and a written condition report signed by the workshop that knows it best.
The floor
Hand-picked, inspected on a four-post lift, and priced from a full condition dossier. Cars are sold on first viewing as often as not — reserve one early or ask us to hold it for 48 hours.

Thirty-eight specialists, one building, every trade under one roof — from lead-loading a roof panel to rebuilding a Lucas distributor. We restore to the standard the car left the factory, or to the standard the owner drives it. Those are different jobs, and we quote them differently.
Numbers-matching rebuilds, machining to period tolerances, dyno sheets supplied with every unit that leaves the shop.
Hand-formed aluminium over an English wheel, lead loading, and paint matched to original chips rather than a modern approximation.
Hide seats rebuilt on the original frames, wool carpet woven to pattern, wood veneer re-laid in book-matched pairs.
Three weeks of the small things: fastener plating, hose clamps, boot floor stamps and the 200-mile shakedown before judging.
FIVA identity cards, old-style logbooks, build sheets and factory letters chased down in the archives on your behalf.
Heated, dehumidified storage for 60 cars, covered transport across Europe, and a monthly exercise-and-charge visit included.
Every restoration leaves us with a 500-mile running-in schedule, a torque-check list and the phone number of the technician who built it. Owners come back for the service; that is the point.
Three days on the lift: compression, bores, chassis, paint depth, rust mapping. You receive the notes whether or not you proceed.
A written scope with photographs, staged payments and a completion month — not an estimate that drifts by a year.
One technician owns the car end to end. Monthly reports, and the shop is open to visit every Saturday morning.
MoT, geometry, 500-mile running-in plan and a bound photographic record of everything that was done.
Every car is a story
A 1968 Charger that has never left its home county is worth more than a better-looking one with an unknown decade. Before we buy, we sit with the logbook, the old photographs and the people who owned it — then we put all of it in the file that travels with the car.
Sale calendar
Six sales before the year is out, plus our own in-house evening sale each November. Register once and we will bid, inspect and report on your behalf.
Registered bidders receive the condition report, underside photographs and our technician's written opinion 72 hours before the hammer falls. Bidding by telephone, online or in the room.

Half of what we place goes to people buying their first classic. The other half goes to the same names, generation after generation.
“They talked me out of the show car and into the driver's car. Two years and 9,000 miles later, that was the only sensible advice anyone gave me.”
“I inherited a barn-find and no idea what to do with it. The assessment was free, the quote was fixed, and the file they handed back is worth more than the car was in 2016.”
“Four generations have driven this Beetle to the same beach. It came back to us with the original seats re-covered and the receipts to prove it.”
Sell or consign
Outright purchase, auction consignment or private treaty — we quote all three and tell you which one we would choose if the car were ours. Valuation is free, there is no obligation, and we will not chase you afterwards.
