01Does a company have to engage a CPA firm?
Statutory audits must be carried out by a practising CPA firm — not internal staff or accountants without a practising certificate. Bookkeeping and tax you can do yourself, but a firm lowers the risk of errors and missed deadlines.
02Is sending documents online safe?
We receive documents through an encrypted, dedicated client space with individual access controls; files are visible only to the colleagues working on your case. Prefer the old way? Email or in-person handover — your call.
03Will the price go up after the quote?
No. The written quote sets out the scope; unless your situation changes materially (say, volumes far beyond what was disclosed), the fee stands. If extra charges are ever needed, we get your approval first.
04Can we skip appointing a company secretary?
No. The Companies Ordinance requires every Hong Kong limited company to appoint a company secretary. A director may act as secretary if eligible (a sole director cannot double up), but a professional ensures annual returns and other statutory duties are never missed.
05How long does incorporation take?
With complete documents, e-registration usually takes one to two working days. Opening a bank account depends on the bank — allow two to four weeks to be safe. We prepare the bank documents in parallel to save you the back-and-forth.
06How do we start?
Reach us however suits you best: the quote form, WhatsApp or a phone call. Tell us your company type and needs; we reply with a first fee range within a day, then arrange a meeting or video call.
07Can overseas shareholders / directors set up a Hong Kong company?
Yes. Hong Kong companies have no nationality or residency requirements; overseas individuals can serve as directors and shareholders. Note that most banks require directors to visit Hong Kong in person to open an account — we recommend suitable banks and prepare the document checklist for your situation.
08When is the tax deadline? What if I am late?
Once the IRD issues the profits tax return, companies generally must file within one month. Cases handled by an appointed tax representative may use the extended deadlines on the return. Late filing can mean penalties or even estimated assessments — let us track it so no deadline is missed.
09Is switching to your firm a hassle?
Not at all. We request handover documents from your previous accountant or company secretary (with your signed authorisation), verify the tax and annual return history, and only take over once nothing is missing. It usually takes one to two weeks, and you never touch a document yourself.
